4i Asset Management was established in 2004 as an independent niche manager and registered at the Financial Services Board. 4i Asset Management focus only on the management of unit trusts. The unit trusts are compiled according to CFA Rules and the needs of investors, being income, capital preservation capital growth or combinations thereof.

More than 900 unit trusts with different mandates, risk profiles and management styles are registered in South Africa.

4i Asset Management focus on offering and managing unit trusts with different risk profiles to suit different investment - and risk styles. The 4i Asset Management portfolios are compiled according to income, capital preservation and capital growth needs and are available on all the major Linked Investment Platforms (LISP’s).

Individual collective investment companies are awarded PlexCrown ratings, as the ratings of the various funds in a fund manager’s fold give an excellent indication of the quality of the investment team, investment processes, strategies and the risks assumed. PlexCrown ratings therefore assist investors, fund managers and financial advisors in determining the investment competence of a management company in the various asset classes.
